Vicky Hartzler confrontation

  Vicky Hartzler, a Republican Congresswoman from Missouri, compared legalizing same-sex marriage to polygamy and incest.  This is a typical analogy made by most members of the right who oppose same sex marriage, but the difference this time was that she was challenged by a member of the audience.  The med student happened to be gay, and asked why it isn't wrong to prohibit her from getting married.  This is exactly what needs to happen to these homophobic conservatives when they spread their hate about homosexuality.  Gay people and non-gay rights advocates needs to stand up to them and ask if it's right to discriminate against them based on something they cannot control.  Challenging out-dated views and showing the candidates bigotry will go a long way to changing public opinion.
